Dear Friends of Negba,
Our children have known for a long time that this world is full of injustices that we are working to correct thanks to you. At a time when our entire country has entered a tragic period and a large part of the population is feeling the very cruel effects of the ongoing war, our association is being tested more than ever. Some of us are in the army, others are managing a particularly troubled personal life as best they can.
Thanks to our credibility and the quality of our Negba Home, we have received authorization to open our premises on a partial basis in Beer-Sheva and we can ensure that all our children are in one way or another maintained in our follow-up, even if in rotation.
The risks are indeed immense: economic distress for families, fear of going out of home leading to isolation, loss of bearings.
We will get out of this dramatic period, with God’s help, but our young people will need everything. In addition to our usual service, they will need to find even more attention, affection, general and personalized support, and psychological support. Very often, it is impossible to help our children without helping their families who lack everything. Our mission thus sometimes involves, in cases that we carefully examine, support for the families.
However, we do not want to let go our pedagogy and what makes us unique: In Negba, it is the children first, and we dedicate all our efforts to them. Our team is attentive to the children’s needs all the time, whether they are at Negba or at their homes, and the entire volunteer board of directors supports our team.
You know that an entirely volunteer board of directors and teams as talented as dedicated are at their service every day.
In these particularly critical moments, we strive to make the world a little better and a little less unfair.
