Dear friends and dear members of our great Negba family,
First of all, I hope this message finds you all in good health.
As you may already know, Negba’s Board of Directors has entrusted me with the management of our association.
I fully appreciate the privilege but above all the responsibility that this appointment confers on me.
This represents a tremendous promotion for me, both professionally and personally.
I would like to thank Negba’s Board of Directors and all of you, dear partners, for the support and trust you have placed in the team and in myself. We draw from it the strength and energy necessary to enable us to face the new challenges that lie ahead.
I pledge to you to do my best to continue the important and necessary action that Negba has been carrying out for many years for the benefit of its children and adolescents and their families.
At the beginning of September, the children returned to school as well as to Negba’s Homes where the first activities of the year could be organized between the Tishri Holidays.
Before the start of the school year, the team participated in two weeks of intensive training and preparation. A day was also devoted to problems specific to the current period: how to cope every day with uncertainty, the Coronavirus, isolation and instability due to the proximity of border areas.
Another focus was on the educational theme chosen for this year, namely: “Education on the environment and sustainable development”.
This theme encompasses many areas of learning to improve our lives today, such as:
- the concern for the protection of the environment against pollution, whether of nature or of human relations;
- the appropriate use of new technologies for the benefit of new projects;
- the development of educational leadership to positively influence on the environment, in particular by introducing behavioral changes such as adopting the right actions to move from wastage to intelligent and responsible usage of resources.
Of course, this project will work in partnership with enterprises, and in collaboration with the families of the children and their community.
Dear friends, the association of which you are partners is ready for any scenarios and challenges, educational, social, health or safety, for the benefit of children, adolescents and families in difficulty in the south of the country as well as in Jerusalem.
We are doing all we can to continue to achieve the purpose of the association and to give every youth an equal chance, no matter where they grew up or the family in which they were born.
We invite you more than ever to visit our Homes and see for yourself our actions.
Until your next visit, I invite you to be our ambassador. Share with your acquaintances the activities of the association and give more people in Israel and elsewhere the opportunity to join the great Negba family, to share this experience of giving, loving of the country as well as helping the children to move forward, towards a better future.
The children of Negba need your support, especially in the difficult time we are going through.
