Dear Friends of Negba, dear friends,
This is the first time that I am writing to you as President of Negba.
I am very honored and proud of this role which I will strive to fulfill with all my heart and energy, following on from Dr. Ilan Cohen who preceded me for many years and who agreed to be now Honorary President of our association. His knowledge of Negba, his generosity and his advice will therefore fortunately remain at the service of Negba’s development and the guarantors of de facto continuity.
On the threshold of this new school year, allow me to make a very brief review of the facts and events accomplished, as well as some future perspectives.
As you know, we have never given up on our mission to serve children and adolescents in great difficulty, and have sought more than ever to protect them and ensure their well-being, despite the Covid, despite the violent tensions and the terrorism that Israel has known again, despite the psychological dangers caused by a health situation which remains particularly critical, and despite the economic weakening of the situation of their families, often already very fragile.
All the resources that could be mobilized have been implemented to provide them, with dedication: educational follow-up, personal supervision, well-being, but also moments of celebration and conviviality, in compliance with health rules.
We are approaching the start of the new school year as prepared and calm as the situation allows, and will do everything again to meet the needs of our children and adolescents.
Internally, it is with great confidence that we now see Eliav taking over from Hanna on September 1 and taking the reins of general management. His professionalism and his many talents are already recognized by all and I know that he will be able to extend and develop the fantastic work accomplished before him by our General Manager, to whom I want to pay tribute once again here.
Hanna happily remains at Negba’s service as External Relations Manager and will thus be able to better dedicate herself to strengthening and developing the bonds Negba maintains with its benefactors and friends.
Dear faithful Friends of the Association, without whom nothing is possible, our gratitude towards you is limitless!
On the threshold of this Jewish New Year 5782, Hanna and Eliav along with the entire Negba management team and I extend our warmest wishes to you for a Happy New Year full of health and joy.
