School year Evaluation meetings

At the start of the school year, we make sure to set goals for each child and teen, then we closely monitor their evolution in full cooperation with parents and school teachers. Together, we create a program designed to foster significant progress on emotional, academic, behavioral and social levels. Then we organize, three times a year, personal evaluation meetings for each child – teachers are invited before each meeting to fill out forms on the situation and results of each child in order to see how far they have come. And then we can see how we need to act to achieve the additional progress that we expect from everyone.

These evaluation meetings take place in the presence of parents, the school teacher, a social worker and representatives of Negba (coordinator responsible for the group, social worker, and the coordinator of the study centers, who is heading the committee). We then discuss each child, address a number of areas (academic, social, emotional…) and generally raise the difficulties they encounter, then we come up with a personal work plan to resolve these difficulties.

It is important to note that the study centers operated throughout the year and provided a solution for each child, individually. The presence of professional teachers for remedial schooling for grades 1st to 3rd helped build reading and writing skills. For the 4th grade students, an English teacher worked on language skills, on making up for backlog, and helping with homework given in class.

According to the conclusions of the end-of-year evaluation committee, it seems that all of what has been developed this year has indeed brought the children a significant improvement at the school level, the positive consequences of which have also been felt emotionally and socially.

Thank you to all the staff who have ensured throughout this year an exceptional job of careful follow-up, which has given fruit of this quality!
