Dear friends,
First of all, we would like to thank you for all your calls and messages of support that we
have received since the beginning of this war. Please know that we are very touched
and really appreciate your support and concern.
As you know, we are currently going through very difficult times; some of our staff,
mainly men, including Eliav the General Manager of Negba and Noy the Head of Negba
Programs in Jerusalem, were recruited for an unlimited period.
For the time being, the children cannot attend activities in Nagba homes in accordance
with the government’s instructions. Negba’s children, like all Israeli children, are
confined to their homes and their Maamad (shelter).
Everyone’s morale has been hit hard, but the solidarity displayed throughout the country
gives us hope. We pray for the success of our soldiers, the healing of the wounded, the
release of the many abductes and for the uplifting of the souls of the fighters and
murdered.
Since Monday morning, the entire Negba educational team is benefiting from increased
professional training specific to the situation. This allows us to have the most
constructive conversations possible with the children and their families, and to be able
to alert municipal emergency teams in charge of distress situations.
At the same time, we strive to occupy the children with positive activities that will help
calm them in these fearful and stressful situations.
