All the same, all different

We have certainly come a long way in the right direction, but we still have difficulties to accept the others in their differences, whether it is in our relation to the one who does not speak our language, or to the one who is sick or disabled.
As part of the education in human values and social skills that we want to instill in Negba, we have held a debate on this issue.
Who seems different to us? How do we perceive this? And what attitude do we want to have, in front of a difference that sometimes worries us?
We have come to the conclusion that we are all different, yet deserve to be equal regardless of gender, religion, age, skin color, physical or mental disability.
The children participated with great interest and expressed their views very actively.
Listening to them was a moment of emotion and pride for us. They are lively, intelligent, and unmistakably sensitive to each other.
