Purim Festival: a great party for children!

Holidays have a way of bringing us all tremendous joy, even in troubled times. Which is why it was so important to us to make sure that the children of Negba would celebrate Purim properly, despite the confinement and all the constraints of the Corona. We figured it was every child’s dream to walk into a place like the one depicted in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, so, just for the holiday, the Negba Center turned into a wonderful “Kingdom of Candy”!
It’s the Bnot Sherout – young girls doing their civil service – who made it all possible. They cut out pieces of cardboards, assembled them and covered everything in bright colors until the early hours of the morning, so that the children would have the happiest Purim celebration possible! The children entered in small groups, to respect the Covid -19 instructions, into a world of colorful sweets and wonderful treats, with the biggest smiles on their faces.
Many captivating games were prepared for them, as well as treasure chests, puzzles and gold cards.
A special surprise awaited the children inside the chocolate hut: the viewing of a video clip with great Israeli artists wishing all the children of Negba a happy Purim!
At the end of this great day, the children tasted cotton candy, popcorn, and received gifts and many surprises! All this made this day a magical and unforgettable experience for each of them.
