At the age of 18, most of Negba’s youth join the army, or the civil service. They might be the nation’s pride, but they are still young adults, who need all the support they can get, advice and a listening ear to guide and sometimes comfort them.
At Negba, we know how important it is to keep in contact with them and let them know our support. Elad, our coordinator of the Teenagers’ Club in Beer-Sheva, makes sure to keep in permanent contact with all the young people who were in Negba and are now in the army. He plans to organizes group meetings on a regular basis in Beit Negba, plans numerous activities for them as well as outdoors excursions, as soon as the regulation, because of the Covid 19 pandemic, will allow it. But we still wanted our young soldiers to feel supported. Thanks to the generosity of various shops in the city, the teenagers of the Club “Jacqueline and Jacques Lévy-Willard”, led by Elad, collected sweets and prepared beautiful parcels for the Purim festival.
They offered everything they gathered to the former Negba children, who were immensely moved by this beautiful gesture.
This is yet another proof that Negba is a family for life!
