During a moving and unforgettable evening held last week, sixteen girls and one boy celebrated their Bar and Bat Mitzvah. It is always a major event for the association, but especially for these young people who mark their passage from childhood to adulthood.
The event was the culmination of a significant process in which both boy and girls participated, during which they learned, were enriched, and prepared for their Bar/Bat Mitzvah. They gathered for Jewish studies, parent workshops, and joint activities for both parents and teens, which strengthened communication, openness, and the family bond.
During the evening, Eliav Geissmann, the association’s director, who recently returned from his army service, spoke moving words:
“The path is not always easy, but if there is one thing I know, it is that you, the children of Negba, will find the strength, the values and the faith to continue moving forward, to build a better future, for yourselves and for all of us.”
His words touched hearts and underlined the bond that unites us all: never giving up on our growth, our hope and our future as a nation.
A huge thank you to the entire Negba family, to its precious and dedicated volunteers, to its loyal donors in Israel and abroad, as well as to our partners in this effort: the Social Services Department of the Be’er-Sheva Municipality, Wizo organization, ICL GROUP company, the parents and children of the Beit Yossef Girsa school in Geneva, and all those who accompanied and supported this very important process and this magical evening.
Thanks to you, we were able to offer an unforgettable celebration and a unique experience that will accompany our young girls and boys throughout their lives.
“I do not have enough words to thank Negba for this rich and exciting evening which was the culmination of an important process
