The Tu B’Shvat festival in Negba (the “New Year of Trees”)

“He is like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding its fruit in season.”

(Psalm of David 1-3)

Tu B’Shvat has arrived and this year too we celebrated the New Year of the Trees in the Homes of Negba.
We talked about the customs of the holiday, provided various activities around ecology, planted plants in pots that we made with our own hands from recycled materials, then we ate delicious dried and sweet fruits.
This feast, full of flowering, growth and renewal, reminds and symbolizes for us the daily work that we do with children and adolescents throughout the year. Thus, we see them grow, flourish, overcome obstacles and reach their true potential.
