The 2025–2026 school year is truly special! Negba is celebrating 20 years of dedication, guidance, and education. This milestone is an opportunity to look back at the defining moments and milestones that have shaped Negba into what it is today.

Over the past two decades, the association has welcomed around 1,400 children and teenagers in Beer Sheva and Jerusalem, providing them with a warm environment, support, and the chance to grow.


September 1st, 2006

Founding of the Negba Association

The first three clubs for elementary school children in Beer Sheva were opened in collaboration with the French organizations Hassidot (the Storks) and Beit Moriah.

Opening of the First Youth Club

Opening of the First Youth Club

After four years of activity, responding to the children’s requests and the lack of supportive frames for ages 12–18, Negba opened its first youth club in Beer Sheva.

December 25th, 2011

The First Center in Jerusalem

In the Kiriyat Menachem neighborhood, a house for elementary school children was established. Later, a youth club and the “Mosaic” program for teenage girls were added.

December 3rd, 2018

Opening of Beit Negba, a Child and Community Center

The building, named after Kati and Mona Dreyfus, is located in District ד’ of Beer Sheva.
The center includes the association’s offices, children’s clubs, youth clubs, a library, a music room, a central kitchen, and more.

February 1st, 2020

Beginning of the Alumni Program

Negba continues to maintain connections with graduates who have finished high school: during military or national service, academic studies, or work. The program supports them in all areas of life.

August 1st, 2022

Opening of the Music Room and Formation of Negba Band

The Michel Bloch Music Room, located at Beit Negba in Beer Sheva, serves the children and teens of the association for musical learning, playing a variety of instruments, and singing. The band performs at various association events.

October 10th, 2022

“Dror LaChiyuch” – Theater and Performance Project

Children learn acting, improvisation, and stage presence in front of an audience. At the end of each year, they perform a celebratory final show for families and other distinguished guests at the Beer Sheva Performing Arts Center.

April 30th, 2023

Launch of the Sustainability Education Program

The program, named after association founder Claude Meyer z”l, focuses year-round on nature and environmental activities, including gardening clubs, reducing paper and plastic usage, energy saving, ecology, and environmental responsibility.

December 1th, 2025

First Center in Ofakim

In collaboration with the Gefanim organization and following the events of October 7th, the association expands its activities to Ofakim, aiming to provide children and teenagers of the city with a supportive, safe, and empowering environment.
