We remember…

This year, more than ever since the creation of the State of Israel, we bowed our heads, with very heavy hearts, in memory of the soldiers who fell for the security of the country and the victims of terrorism. The next day, we “celebrated” Israel’s Independence Day.

The harsh reality, from which none of our children has escaped, shows its consequences on the feelings, thoughts and behavior of each of them.

It is with a certain maturity and real sensitivity that the children and adolescents of Negba wrote their texts and presented the Remembrance Day ceremonies organized in the different Homes of Negba. They spoke about the importance of such a day and of course the unrelenting pain since October 7.

For our own good and especially for that of young people, on Independence Day we recalled the many good deeds of the Israeli people and we spoke of the eternal hope that is part of our daily lives! We discussed the importance of being united to maintain our independence and security, but also the strength of spirit and perseverance of the Jewish people that will lead the country to victory and unity with the return of all hostages.

Wrapped in the Israeli flag, always loyal to our country, and with a huge smile like only children know how to do, we celebrated Independence Day with the traditional national dish: falafel, of course!
