Negba Beer-Sheva<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Negba \u201cCaty and Mona Dreyfuss\u201d Center has a protected space for each group, this
enables us to operate at this time with the approval of the Home Front Command while
maintaining mandatory security guidelines. In coordination with the Beer-Sheva
Municipality and the Department of Social Services, we opened Negba Center on
Monday October 23 and welcomed some of the children. Children from all our houses in
Beer-Sheva come to Negba House as all out other houses do not have protected space.
It was a breath of fresh air for these children who have been living a particularly
complicated daily life since October 7, as large number of missiles were fired at Beer
Sheva. On the program: discussions to share and strengthen each other, receive a little
tenderness and play games in a good mood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The day began with explanations of safety guidelines in the event of an alert and with a
simulation exercise for all staff and children. Then, a few minutes later, everyone was
surprised by a siren that sounded in Beer-Sheva. Thanks to the previous exercise, each
group moved calmly into its shelter. They then sat on the ground and tried to remain
calm. The animators talked with the children about their feelings and sang to avoid
thinking too much about the alert. Then after 10 minutes, as safety rules stipulate,
everyone came out of the shelters and continued their activities. This happened 3 times
in 2 hours. At each alert, thanks to the staff who managed the situation well, the children
managed to keep calm. The children understood the importance of obeying the
instructions of the Home Front Command and remaining careful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the success of this first day, a second afternoon took place on Wednesday,
and three more are planned for next week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Negba Jerusalem<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

On Monday October 23, the \u201cH\u2019etz Delphine L\u00e9vy\u201d Teen Club reopened for 2 days a week. Around twenty youngsters were happy to find their animators and their friends. After doing their homework, they met around an activity to discuss what is happening now in Israel, thus being able to describe their feelings and their anxieties. It was a very emotional and sharing moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regarding the Grosman Home, we received the official agreement, from the school which houses the Negba premises, to welcome the children from October 26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
