In order to keep your balance, you must keep moving.\u201d <\/p><cite> <em>Albert Einstein<\/em> <\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>When starting the \u201cBicycles\u201d project in\n2013-2014, Negba had capitalized\non the potential of cycling, globally recognized among young people at risk, for the\nindividual and collective development of its teenagers. The objectives then\nfixed were very precise:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Take action to\nimprove the health and the body and mind balance of the teens.<\/li><li>Give teens the\nopportunity to make efforts and succeed in facing physical challenges and\nprepare them to overcome other challenges.<\/li><li>Make known and\nloved the country in general and the Negev and Beer-Sheva in particular.<\/li><li>Develop and\nencourage teens to discover nature.<\/li><li>Create an identity\nby developing the feeling of belonging to a group.<\/li><li>Strengthen\npersonal relationships between the teens and develop a spirit of collective\nresponsibility and mutual help.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Today,\nthis activity is provided once or twice a week to all Negba children. Nearly 5\nyears after its launch, and thanks to a structured program of group cycling, we\ncan say that most of the children and teens have improved their physical\ncondition, increased their self-confidence, strengthened their group\nmembership, discovered a taste for nature and the great outdoor spaces of their\ncity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is\nessential for us to remember here that this project was born thanks to the\ngenerosity of our regretted friends Sylviane and G\u00e9rard Levy za\u00a0\u00bbl. When\nClaude Meyer za\u00a0\u00bbl had told them about this activity intended then for the teenagers\nof Negba, Sylviane and G\u00e9rard had immediately agreed to finance the purchase of\nthe bicycles, and to offer them on the occasion of the birthdays of their\ngrandchildren and family marriages. In fact, their daughter Patricia and her\nhusband also took part in the project and offered a good number of bicycles.
