Shana Tova !

Dear friends of Negba, Dear partners,

I am happy to announce that the Homes and Clubs of Negba have resumed their activities as planned in Beer-Sheva and Jerusalem, allowing us, after the summer break, to find ourselves back with some 250 children and teenagers in joy and happiness. The 2022-2023 school year has begun!

“And God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it.” (Genesis, chapter 2, verse 15)

This holiday eve of Tishri is an excellent opportunity for me to present our educational program based on the themes of Ecology and Sustainable Development. As part of this program, the children will work on this global problem and will approach it from different aspects, in collaboration with their families, their community and with you.

The work program will focus on three main areas: economic, social and environmental.

Our ambition is to educate our young people to respect man and nature. This includes learning to respect the environment, as well as the notions of joint action and sharing, all within the framework of a broader vision that will help develop pride, involvement and abilities in each one of them.

The program will broaden horizons, develop entrepreneurship and creativity, all with the aim of strengthening self-image and self-confidence as well as the ability to dream, act and evolve.

The global economic crisis that is shaking the entire planet has not spared our young people either, quite the contrary. In addition to the economic, geopolitical and security difficulties of the region, the needs and distress of the populations we care for continue to increase. Each of you is a key link in the chain of actions that we are building to increase the success rate of each child in Negba and to give each of them an equal chance.

We encourage you to visit us, share our achievements, ask questions, make suggestions and continue to be counted among our partners. It is a privilege for us to be your ambassadors in carrying out these actions which are so just and so necessary for the children and their families.

Thank you for your support and being faithful to us over the years. Thanks to you, we draw the encouragement and the strength that allow us to transform the vision of the founders of Negba into an even better reality for children on the periphery of Israeli society.

On behalf of the Negba Board of Directors, its staff, our children and their families, I would like to wish you, your families and loved ones: Shana Tova! May this year be a year of fulfillment of your dearest wishes, a year of prosperity and success, a year of peace, brotherhood, unity and health.

Eliav
