Back to life in Beer-Sheva

After the ceasefire, the Frank Lévy Home team warmly greeted the children with big smiles, pomegranate syrup, delicious cookies, and big hugs!!! How much had we missed all of this!

In order to resume properly activities in Negba’s Homes, it was essential for us to set up a group discussion and talk with the children about what had just happened in the south of the country.

At Schilli Home, for example, each child shared how they had lived through this whole period with relentless alerts and missiles, but also what had helped them overcome their stress and fears.

With plasticine in their hands, with a lot of concentration and a great creative mind, they were able to express, communicate and exteriorize their emotions and improve their own image.

In the lovely works created by the children, we discovered that while one felt better in the safe space of a stairwell, the other felt safe with his Spiderman doll or with his pet in his arms.

Great thanks to the Mayor of Beer-Sheva, Rubik Danilovich, for his warm welcome and for his support to Negba’s actions for the benefit of the children and adolescents of Beer-Sheva. He congratulated Eliav Geissmann, Educational Director, for the efficiency and professionalism that the Negba team has shown again during the security crisis we have just suffered.
