02/19/2017 - Les Cigognes Association Delegation Visits Negba
The first after-school Home that Negba opened in Beersheva is the Les Cigognes-Storks (“Beit Hachasidot”) Home.
Thanks to the support of the Les Cigognes Association, Negba was able to open this first Home for 30 children, and since then the Negba - Les Cigognes partnership has continued to develop.
It was a special pleasure to recently host in Beersheva Ms. Nathalie Roos, President of the Les Cigognes Association, along with other members of its Board of Directors and their friends. The delegation met with children and teens during their study hour, and then received a presentation from Negba’s CEO Hanna Geissmann about the current construction of the Negba Center, and then visited the construction site. "Everyone was very moved and impressed by your activities,” commented Ms. Roos, who thanked Negba for the informative visit and for all it does on behalf of children at-risk.
The new Negba Center, built on a plot of land allocated to Negba by the Beersheva Municipality, will include five after-school Homes and Clubs for children. The Children’s Wing will incorporate the Beit Hachasidot name, as a testimony to the ongoing support of the Les Cigognes Association in Negba’s work for children at-risk.
